Energetic due diligence

In case of initiatives already planned or underway in the field of renewable energy sources, investors often need to check the reliability of the project, of the suppliers involved and their supply contracts as well as technically verify the requirements of the future systems in terms of productivity and economic returns.

As an independent third party, Ecomag is able to offer due diligence services in the renewable energy field for Investors, Funds, Companies or individuals.

The Due Diligence is centered on these 3 aspects:

  • Technical, because we analyze the define plan, the chosen materials, the type of plant installation, compliance of the site that might affect the efficienty of the plant.
  • Economic, because we analyze the Business plan, the cost of the plant and its installation, the return of investiment (with or without financing) and the profitability of the plant.
  • Licensing and Contractual, because we analyze the contract for the supply, maintenance, and insurance; permits and any requests for incentives.

Phases

  • Documental analysis
    • Feasibility studies / projects / business plan;
    • Permits;
    • Supply contracts / maintenance / insurance;
    • Facilities’ certifications.
  • Inspection
    • Site of installation verification;
    • Check for potential obstacles / impediments to the productivity of the plant;
    • Visual inspection of the plant and the main components (plant already contructed);
    • Verification of the progress made (installation in progress).
  • Analysis
    • Comparison of the documental and physical analysis (as seen in the inspection);
    • Definition of reviews of compliance / suitability for the main areas of analysis with particular reference to the technical, economic, contractual, permits aspects;
    • Identification of any criticality in the intervention;
    • Identification of the corrective actions / recommendations for each criticality;
    • Drawing up of the Due Diligence report.
