News in the Italian regulation of the Energy Certification
The regulation pertinent to the Energy Certificate for the buildings is approaching a new, important expiration date.
According to the indications contained in the Romani Decree (D. Lgs. 28, approved on 3 March 2011), that became effective on 29 March 2011, in the event of an offer for the transfer of buildings or individual property units for a consideration, starting from 1st January 2012, sales advertisements shall report the energy performance index contained in the Energy Performance Certificate.
This legislative obligation represents an important step forward in the promotion of the quality certificate towards final users, so that they could have a more complete picture of information regarding the energy consumption and, above all, costs related to properties and property units they intend to purchase.
